Obviously Valentine's day has passed but have you sent e-cards this year to the person or people you love. Do you think it still has the same weight or meaning to an actually card?

I think it really depends on the couple or each individual's opinion on Valentine's Day. I've never been into V-Day all that much and insist to my husband that he doesn't need to get me anything. Since we have no expectations and don't take V-Day seriously, an eCard is just fine. But, for people who are into celebrating the holiday, it might come across as tacky or impersonal. If it's a day I really care about (like our anniversary), I prefer something more personal that I can physically hold onto and cherish for years to come.

This Valentines Day, I actually did send my hubby a couple of eCards simply because I found some Halo 4 ones that I knew he'd get a kick out of. Playing Halo together is a tradition of ours, so these were perfect.

People just need to make their own judgement calls, within their relationships, and go for what they know their significant other will appreciate because everyone is different.

If for some reason you can't give her a physical card.

Tacky, unless it is supplemental to a written card.
