What you are calling "a lot" are probably rebelious teens that don't know the true meaning of Goth, but call themselves that anyway. There are not many true Goths. But I care about everyone, Goth or not. Their opinions of me, not so much.

And that's why I doubt what you're saying. People will always defend their positions, and I don't really care if it's a fashion, lifestyle or anything, it will disappear sooner or later. You won't be goth forever, and that's why it's not a lifestyle.

The Gothic subculture has been around for approximately 1520 years, so I don't think it will be going anywhere anytime soon.
And I still don't get what you mean by 'You won't be goth forever', because it IS a lifestyle, meaning I will be forever if I choose to, and right now, I do. That's just like telling a Christian that they won't be Christian forever. Well done at making yourself look like a fool. It's all thanks to your ignorance. :)

I don't really care what your style is, but if you're acting like a little poser then I have a problem. Wearing dark clothes and acting emotion isn't goth, a lot of people try to fit into this crowd by wearing and acting a certain way. You don't just go "i wanna be goth" it's your personality. And most gothic people don't go around saying "I'm goth" who would label themselves anyways.
