Many hopefuls have been refused simply because they admitted to being atheists on the sign-up questionnaire or because they indicated that they had no religious preference. A year or so ago, a friend of mine received a rather telling form letter soon after hooking up with eHarmony, informing him that he did not fit eHamony's 'membership criteria' and that they would not serve him.reply
