Is "American Idol"" no longer the cultural titan it once was? The numbers are in for last night's season finale. Not even the notoriously kind Judge J.Lo would have been impressed.

Wednesday night’s ‘Idol’ finale was down 43% from last year. What was once the new hotness has become old and busted. Circle of life, kids.

I've never really watched it, so I don't know. I watched the finale for just one reason the other night. Rihanna was on. I changed the channel as soon as her performance was over.

If you think Idol sucks catch"duets". If Idol was on one channel and duets was on the other I would watch re-runs of house. Dancing with the stars is successful so now they come out with duets hoping to cash in.

That is my point, only Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood can be call superstars, all of the other winners were out sold by the runner up.
