I use FB to keep in touch with friends and relatives overseas. I have no interest otherwise!

For one I don't know anyone who does. At least not really, unless they do it for business purposes and want a professional page, like what I have for where I work, or they are great writers or musicians and it's a way to share it with everyone, without sharing personal stuff.

I don't really understand what it is really, even though I have a Facebook of my own. I do send out some messages that I find interesting, but I'm not sure how many will ever bother to read it! Some people say it makes money but how, they also do not know! Actually Facebook is kinda funny, don't you think?

Well if its a celebrity or a public figure sure why not.

On the other hand if say I had a fan page on myself...that's a bit too attention seeking.

I don't know for sure what it is but I can guess that it is another desperate atttempt to seek attention. I do not understand whay people want to impress other people to the point of exploiting themselves. It seem shallow to me.

I like them for some of the people I watch on YouTube. It's a good way to say hey, and sometimes they ask for requests.

One of my friends is a celebrity (professional athlete). He uses his actual FB page to communicate with people he actually knows, and he's had it before he was a public figure. He doesn't promote himself on it. He uses his fan page to promote himself and communicate with fans he doesn't actually know personally.

It has gotten way away from what Face Book was originally intended to be used for. I am extremely careful about what I say on Face Book. People air their dirty laundry on it any more, use it to slam others, etc. I JUST DO NOT LIKE IT. IT MAKES ME SAD BECAUSE IT USED TO BE SO MUCH FUN.

I don't see the point, but I can't really judge. After all, one of my friends is a cult leader and I sacrificed my foot for her. I am now part of the Tori Dady Cult on facebook.
