In your opinion, Do you give GOOD advice?

It doesn't matter if they ask or not,
we all give advice.
Good? I hope we all have that intent.
But, is it actually good advice?
My husband gives better advice
than Dear Abbey.
Now, if you ask my sister for
advice, be prepard to face the consequences.

I am not sure if I can always give good advice.
I am trying to be realistic and to see things from the perspective of the advised person.
To do that, I need a concrete description of the circumstances and of the people involved. Every individual has his or her own aims and views which must be respected.

Iam always very cautious when it comes to giving advice about something important, it is a huge responsible if you give advice and someone acts on it.... I tend to tread very carefully in that area. Sometimes it can come back and bite you on the bum. Love your posts Robin, they are brilliant.

Yes I believe I do give very good advice. If not really sure I won't give advice. My experiences have been very diversified.

I am well educated in nearly all the construction trades; well-informed, current and if I do not know something, I will say so. I have studied health issues for 35 years; at 58 I still have everything I was born with and plan to die that way; organic grower for over 20 years; studied law for 17 years and various technical subjects as long as I can remember.

HI, Mark, and I am going to tell you something... I like you. I really do. You are intelligent, state it like it is, no beating around the bush, and don't care how people react if they don't agree. I had a feeling you can dish out sage advice.

I agree! I hope I wouldn't lead someone 'down the garden path' on purpose. People with good intentions are good in general. Lets dig up some bad advice to keep us on track... lol

Many times it seems like good advice is given as a result of genuine thought and concern for the one receiving the advice. On the other hand, many give bad advice as a result of self interest, based on what they think is best for themselves or what makes them look important or smart in their own eyes.
