Do you prefer someone to be illiterate, or would you like to meet and talk to people who have the decency to pit up literature and broaden their vocabulary? Illiteracy is ignorance resulting from not reading. I know this is the Internet, but still, there's no excuse to be illiterate, that is if you've never payed attention in school. I don't even like it when people short text me, because if they do that, then I just stop texting them. It gets on my nerves when I see someone being illiterate. It also pushes my buttons when you bring their horrible grammar to their attention then they purposely act like a complete dumb-fuck to try and annoy you. -.-' I've lost many friends due to their illiteracy..

It annoys me as well.

While it does annoy me, I don't bring it up anymore as it is not worth losing a friend over to correct their grammar every little step of the way. If they ask me to, fine--or if they're one of my friends, and by this I know of only one, who doesn't mind it when I correct them.

I've lost friends because they asked me to correct their grammar/punctuation, apparently I was too critical.. or they just couldn't handle it. I have no idea, I am not too critical about it nowadays.

That's odd that they would do that. I mean, if they asked you to then I don't know what they were expecting... But anyway, yeah, although it makes me cringe a bit to see something spelled incorrectly or even punctuated incorrectly, I have learned not to care as much as I used to.

Actually, it doesn't annoy me. The people who talk lyke dis annoy me, yes. But they're not illiterate. They're just douchebags who know how to write properly, but refuse to because they think they improper way is cooler. And they can definitely read. Also, you can't see someone "being" illiterate. That's like saying you can see someone being diabetic. Illiteracy is the result of little to no access to education. It's when you honestly can't read or write, not when you're just being a dumbarse. And it's not the person's fault.
You made a few spelling and grammatical errors in your post. Does that make you illiterate? No. So neither are the people who type in stupid ways.
