If you wrote a friend off, would you give them a fourth chance?

A used to be friend of mine, with a LONG history of lies and screw ups, is trying to get in contact with me stating she needs me. I already know my answer, but would like some insite on what everyone else would do... I don't like drama and I can't stand lies... What would you do... Black flag or try try try again?

I'm not in the situation so it's hard for me to say. But if I've been through 4 times of breaking apart in the friendship, I think I'd just let it go. I don't need negative friendships in my life. My life is too short.

I've been known to forgive and forget a lot. I can only take so much from people, and you come to think that persons behavior is never going to change. You have to let them go and move forward with your life!!!

No,you can only give people so many chances,this person Is lucky you gave her that many chances,that's more chances than I would have given her,obviously she Isn't going to change,so why should you have to waste your time on her.

Depends on why the friendship didn't work out at first for me I have a friend who I used to dread talking to because we were exes and the friendship sucked after awhile we started talking again and now we're like siblings it really depends on what was wrong sometimes time apart fixes the problem.

After so many times, it's time for you to think about yourself now, what's best for you. I am never against giving another chances, of course it also depends on how much they burned me if they even get one, but if I see the patterns continue and they aren't even helping themselves or are NEEDY and the same old crap is continuing as in drama, then it's time for me to cut the strings with them. My life shouldn't have to be consumed by others bogging me down with their continual problems, especially if they aren't even loyal to me.

I used to be on your position a few months ago. The thing is that after giving that person another chance, she let me down again, so I got mad at her.
I don't know, but I wouldn't recommend you to give her a fourth chance when you know she doesn't deserve it. She has to pay for what she did, of course that's not my decision.
