My job is depressing and tedious so yes I would give 2 weeks notice and after becoming debt free I would spend my new found free time searching for a job I really liked.

After taxes, I'd be lucky to get 400K. After paying everything off, I wouldn't have enough to live on for the rest of my life. Besides, I love my job and I wouldn't quit even if I won ten million.

I would still try to earn a living, also that money would most likely be split among my family members, a small bit goes to my younger brother and sister, while most goes to my sickly mother. I wouldn't take any of it. My mother has done enough for me that she deserves more than just a large portion of a million dollars. She deserves so much more, as for my brother and sister, well it couldn't hurt them to not have to worry about college costs.
