If you have dedicated your life to your God, should you lead by example or push your message onto people?

I am not a religious person, though I do believe in a higher power. In my opinion, every person has the right to believe or not believe as they wish. My life ran much more smoothly when I realized that some people simply will not see things as I do. That's fine with me! I relish differing ideas as it makes for great debates. What I don't get is people who cannot accept that I do not and never will think the way that they do. My concept of God is different from anyone else. It's my concept. I am pretty sure if God/Allah/Buddha/Kali/Zeus/Jehovah/Gaea or whoever you believe in does not need or want their message spread by shoving it down someone's throat.

“It is one of the ironies of the
ministry that the very man who works in God's name is often hardest put
to find time for God. The parents of Jesus lost Him at church, and they
were not the last ones to lose Him there.” -Vance Havner 1901

I lived in China for ten years, and traveled to many of these little villages myself. None of them had heard of the Christian God (Unless they had been out of the village, but even then they didn't have a proper understand of it) they had their own old myths of different ancient Chinese Gods and Goddesses, or then they were simply without religion. They lived everyday as it is, they worked on farms from morning till sunset, they spend the night eating, drinking and smoking, they had no time for spiritual exploration.
Your God must've lied to you. Or then he was wrong. Which is it?
"Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves...

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them."
He has already showed them, but they did not want to "retain God in their conscience."
It doesn't work like that, not in societies were people are living life or death from the moment they are born, many don't even get the chance to learn to read, so they couldn't even be able to read the Bible or understand this "God's word".
If you aren't born in the right part of the world, you obviously deserve to suffer. So much for justice.
"And YAH said, make mans image, and likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So YAH created man in his own image, in the image of YAH created he him; male and female created he them.
These days it's usually only children that these tactics work on, if you want to show people how your religion or philosophy has improved your life and will improve theirs, then lead by example. Be kind, be smart, be brave, be the kind of person that others admire and respect, the kind of person that others would want to follow, only then will you be able to convince anyone that this lifestyle is good.
Being angry, hateful, greedy, bitter, willfully ignorant and violent, do not generally convince anyone to believe that anything good comes from your lifestyle or religion. Saying one thing and acting the other just doesn't work, people will see right through it.
That being said, one of my friends turned towards Buddhist practices some time ago, I've noticed she's let go of many unhealthy habits, seems to be stronger mentally and physically (Has gotten in really good shape) and in genera...

That being said, one of my friends turned towards Buddhist practices some time ago, I've noticed she's let go of many unhealthy habits, seems to be stronger mentally and physically (Has gotten in really good shape) and in general have a much more calm attitude towards everything, she used to be quite stressed and overwhelmed over things that went wrong, now she seems to be able to accept everything as it is. I think she's one of the only people I know who turned towards a philosophy and actually gained positive outcomes from it that don't seem insanely superficial.
And I don't believe such a thing as the "Garden of Eden" ever happened, I don't see a reason to, but if it did... we surely have changed. In the past they thought the world was flat, they didn't understand the concept of gravity, they hadn't explored the lands, the sea or ever been in space. We have done that.
But lead by example keep it to yourself.
In my 60 years on this planet I believe I have met maybe 2 that walked the walk instead of preaching one thing and doing another!
As my best friend often says, "There's nothin' worse than a reformed anything"
What nice fangs you have today.
I sharpened them myself.
