If you have cats, do you allow them to be up on your kitchen counters?

My cat is 21 years old and still runs around the house like a kitten but never on the counter or kitchen table. She is civilized and knows it is disgusting. Nice to be able to walk away from dinner table to answer phone or whatever and know the food will not be touched. (I used to raise Great Danes and it was imperative since their heads were above table level when they were standing.)

House cats not indiginous to America and very invasive they kill all kinds of native animals where ever they are brought.....and you legally can not even own a cat!
I guess I am more of a outside dog/horse person:)
He was almost nice years old when he passed away. If the vet could have given me the shot too I would be grateful.
We just make sure we clean the counter before preparing food.
