Acquaintance do come and go quickly, colleagues, fellow students, sport teammates, etc, are not friends but acquaintances.... People confuse both way too often...

Friends, real ones, are very hard to come by and one rarely have more than a handfull throughout his entire life... You probably just didn't find a real one yet... ;o)

Honestly, I walk everywhere anyway so I would give one up if I ever actually got one LOL. Besides, I prefer motorcycles and my dad has a couple, so I would just use one of his instead of getting a full-fledged cars.

New cars are crap. When the time came when all I could do was look under a hood and say, like an idiot, "Yup...that's an engine alright.", I started buying cars that had parts I could recognize. It'll be a cold day in Hell before I'll pay a service dept. $400 to change a headlight.
