If you found out that your b/f or g/f was a transgender, and they hadn't told you from the outset, what would your reaction be?

For myself, I would feel betrayed and severely grossed out. I'm sure some people will now say, "then your love/liking for that person wasn't real, because true feelings can weather any problem", to which I reply, if they lied to me about a core aspect of their being, I'd say the liking/love not being real was on their side.

I'd want to know that, but I wouldn't care. I would love that person.reply - Joanie 2012/06/17 00:06:10
I would be saddened and disappointed that they did not share something that important with me. Full disclosure: I, myself, am a post-operative transsexual woman, and it is something that I share with everybody who knows me.reply - Metaldane 2012/06/16 21:50:51
Honestly it wouldn't bother me and lying usually does because honesty is important to me but I could understand why they wouldn't just say it many people would immediately not give em a chance because they'll judge them without getting to know em. Now I'd definently be having a conversation with em but I doubt I'd have to If we've been together awhile she'd already know I wouldn't care an if we haven't been together long it wouldn't be as much of an honesty issue since we just started out.reply - Rebel Uke 2012/06/16 20:25:59
+1I don't care what gender my partner is, but I would be concerned that they didn't trust me enough to tell me.reply -
