Living in So Cal, it's now a requirement for many jobs. Since I'm looking for a part-time job right now, it would really help. I'm just about out of luck when it comes to things I'm otherwise qualified for (office jobs, secretarial work, etc). Even the Blockbuster video out here says it's a requirement and that's a simple minimum wage job. I do plan to learn, but that won't help in the here and now.

Personally, I'm most interested in learning Italian but it wouldn't be as useful for me.

I'm currently learning Japanese :) But I personally want to learn many languages :) I'm fluent in English, German, soso in Japanese, and "meh" in Chinese.
