If you are supposed to learn from your mistakes, why do some people have more than one child?

    Trolling?

    Children aren't mistakes.

Parents often are if they aren't smart enough to appreciate the gift they have.

Children aren't mistakes, but some people should not be parents.

or maybe they lost one, or maybe they already had a number in mind, maybe they looked at it as a blessing, maybe they planned it, or maybe just excepted it, or maybe they thought, why not ...any number of reasons could lead to more then one child! WHY IS HAVING MORE THEN ONE A MISTAKE TO LEARN BY?

Children are not mistakes. Their unthinking, uneducated parents are the mistakes.

Sometimes...LOL . I just love being a mama and BABIES!
I never really understood how much of a blessing they were till I went through 3 losses after having two healthy babies. Now I look at my sweet baby girl(3yo) as she is sleeping and my son(6yo) ....and I feel SO LUCKY to have them:)
We are waiting (2years now) to adopt because I want more kids. Heck I'd have(or adopt ) 10 if we could pull it off money wise!
    Have a good night.

mother nature stopped mrs mark in irvine and me at 2 and that's been a very good number: we've bonded very well and there are few enough of them that i am able to remember their names correctly most of the time ... i figure that these people must have to rely on fingerprints or name tags at all times:

Oh I don't knock other people for their family size. The Duggars are doing better finacially then most people I know with one ! Add in the fact they seem realy well mannored, happy, and productive...I endevor for that. I would TOTALLY have more(trying to adopt:) I see children as a blessing and a privilage and they are just FUN!! LOL I think that why they named all their kiddos with the begining of J LOL

i'm from a (somewhat) large family and i personally think that somewhat smaller is better for the kids ... too many kids and it is not possible to have close relationships between kids and parents ... just my experience (and that of my 5 sibs) ... i frankly think the duggars are doing their kids a huge disservice ... they use the older ones to care for the younger ones - that is the parents' job IMHO and is not fair to any of the kids, who aren't allowed to BE kids themselves ... i do feel strongly about this ... there are only so many hours in a day ... how can the parents possibly know their children ... i personally think that there is something very strange psychologically going on with this family where the parents are content to keep cranking out the babies ... they are able to avoid dealing one-on-one with the ones they already have, and end up having an assembly-line approach to life ... the kids become fungible members of society rather than individuals (at least in terms of their relationship to the parents) ... i consider this to be foolish selfishness on the part of the parents - they are missing out on so much ... and the kids miss out too ... they must "have help" which is another thing separating the parents from the kids ...

I guess I see it differently. In having responsability they learn a good work ethic and the older ones caring for the younger brings them closer as sibs and as a whole family. My 6yo has chores and helps with my 3yo, who is chompin at the bit to have her own chore chart...LOL.
When have foster kids staying with us they thrive on the consistency and simple things which most of them have never had. I think we place so much value on "things" that we loose the ties of working together for each other it's all about ourselves and then people wonder why we as a culture with each passing generation become more self involoved...seperate. In the Duggars I see a family that works together, sharing their faith, and are all around good people. They homeschool their kids and that is bonding as well. It's not for everyone that's for sure but they seem to do it well!

Because they want multiple children, if they have seven children with six different people then they are just a whore.
