If someone has their nose pierced, have a cold, and take thier nose ring out. Does snot come out of the piercing hole?

    The olfactory (nasal) mucous membranes are located at the top of the sinus cavity. However, if the nose is runny or stuffy, any mucous (snot) that touches the piercing area could cause a localized infection.
