If Jesus reincranated and amoung the living, would Jesus be happier to be a Pagan or born-again Christian?

Jerry (Iron Priest)☮ R ☮ P ... 2011/11/10 21:04:00Jesus would see his followers and run away to a Chinese folk religion+9How about some civility with those of whom you disagree. You're displaying a "holier than thou" attitude with this very question. None of these answers fit a Christian who is a good person and respects the beliefs of others. Although we certainly have those who think that they're better than everyone else, this is hardly unique to Christianity. Why all of the hostility? Why stereotype?

Then he'd be just as foolhardy as the next religious moron.
It is reincarnate.
the other is: AMONG
What I know of him he NEVER said "GO OUT AND ENSLAVE THE WORLD" He said "make disiples of the world" he meant that his message of peace and love to spread not the hate and genocidal behaviour that Christianity and Islam have caused around the world!
How can anyone ask if Jesus would become a born again Christian? Christianity is because of Jesus Christ, but christianity was not around when He walked the earth. It was 50 days after He was crucified: The day of Pentecost.
I agree with fcombs when she said it "...borders on blasphemy.". Maybe bob is "looking for the light" and can't find it; hoping somebody will enlighten him. Like the Jews who killed many of the apostles and Jews turned Christians in those days.
To have the authority of a rabbi, one need only give the names of those who ‘ordained’ him. In the case of Jesus, he makes it clear John the Baptist was one of those witnesses, and the story of Jesus’ baptism (from the gospel accounts taught by his disciples) indicate that God, himself, was also a witness.
All too often, a rabbi would add his own grain of wisdom to the true tradition, thereby clouding it. Instead of passing down the sacred deposit along with the true interpretations of that deposit, he would add his own private interpretation. In turn his disciples, like their teacher, would, after becoming rabbis, do the same thing.
When I die, I will ask Him about what you said having to be married. Then, I'll look down from heaven and yell you the answer...wherever you happen to be.
My answer was referring to the 'born again Christian" part. To say Jesus could be born again is the same as saying "Jesus died" and came back. Jesus NEVER died (like we do). Unlike humans who say "I am a born again Christian", is to say their belief was either never there to begin with, or was once there, left, then came back. When we die, we leave our body but the spirit remains. That is why one should pray and burn a candle for 40 days after one passes (like Jesus who left His body but walked the earth for 40 days.
We don't die either. We just leave our body. Comprehend?
Oh - oops - I missed the Jew one. Well, I still like the atheist one.
Jesus was a Jew. I think that Jesus would still be a Jew. I don't think that christianity has much of anything to do with anything Jesus envisioned, and I frankly think he would be pretty appalled at what has been done in his name.

returns. Oh yeah and then there's the judgment to deal with. Take a number - it's gonna be a long line. Actually, that was a flippant comment for such a serious subject. I don't know how the judgment will be conducted other than what I have read in the Bible, and that is that the unrightous will be judged and sent to hell. Yep, I believe there's a hell. Jesus said, "I go to prepare a place for you." Note he said a "place." That's quite a literal statement. It didn't say I go to prepare "a peaceful state of mind" for you. There's always the yin and yang of things, and if the yin is a place called Heaven, then there must be a yang - that would be hell. It's the polar opposite of Heaven, and will be a literal place.
If it were possible for Jesus to be "reincarnated" as asked in this question, then he would most likely be living the life of a Jew going to synagogue, etc., but his death on the cross atoned for our sins, and he became the ultimate sacrifice doing away with the need for the daily sacrifices practiced in his time here on this earth. So, the question just makes no sense at all and shows someone's total ignorance of Christian concepts.
I genuinely enjoy taking part in questions asked on Sodahead, but this one is offensive to me. If you are not well versed in the subject, don't ask a question about it. And don't call me "holier than thou." I'm just like the rest of you - struggling along in this world, but I do have a pretty good understanding of my faith.
Some might think he'd join the ranks of Christians (after-all, he does follow his own teachings) but there is still the problem of the Christians not following his teachings. There is also the problem of the entire bible, both halves, proclaiming nothing about Christians, only hebrews and jews. So, Jesus would still be a jew. No doubt about it.
This also makes God a jew... Which explains a lot. ;p
Bob, try to offer a little more respect to peoples beliefs when citing these questions. Peace!
