Be happy and give some amount of thought to what my bioloigcal father would do now for his alcoholism. While also wondering if my uncle woud still be alive and well if it had been done years ago.
I wouldn't really care since I don't feel compelled to drink. However, I'd also be surprised at the stupidity of the people who banned it. If the Prohibition didn't work the first time, why expect it to work the second?
I'd be furious. Remember the prohibition era? Remember Al Capone?
And look at the huge nightmare we have combating drug smuggling.
Anyone with even a trace of common horsesense knows that prohibition
didn't work then, and it most certainly won't work today, tomorrow, or ever.
Just another way for socialism to take over but they would not do that because they government makes money on it & if they wanted to they would just keep raising the tax on alcohol and only select few would drink yet putting more people out of work, less bars less package stores ..
Some emotion between apathy and approval. I don't drink anyway so it wouldn't really effect me, but I would imagine that assuming the law could actually be enforced (always a big if) there would be a great deal less car crashes, homelessness and spousal abuse on the record.
They would serve me - ice tea or lemonade. That's OK with me. I really can live without it. They have a very special rum there (well they did - the place is trashed from Sandy) which I would have once in a while but if booze left the planet it wouldn't bother me in the least.
Funny, I am- I'm old - We go to this place down on Rt. 9 in Eagleswood called Sleepy Hollow - usually for lunch and I saw them setting up for a band. I asked the owner when it was going to start and he said 10 pm. I'll be home then watching the news. LOL!
