Who cares ... but to deny that their lies won't affect me, the direction of this country, and the future of her citizens can only be done when I lie to myself.

Why is there no option for yes? Talk about a biased poll...

I am pretty sure he lied about a lot of things... because he is a politician. No politician gets as far as Romney or Obama without lying about a lot of things -- at least they don't in this country.

Mitt Romney has been a very successful college student, husband & father, Governor, & business executive. I looked deep into his record & realized that his image is being totally tarnished by the Obama political machine. Let me give you an example: 1. Less than 3% of Mormons were involved in Polygamy but the way it was presented by OPM group you would think that the whole religion is infested! 2. Over 90% of all the converts who choose to become Mormons are from other Christian religions! The OPM group wants us to believe his faith is Anti-Christ & a Cult...totally false!! Let's wake up..it's simple..if you are better off today than 4 yrs ago vote Obama...for me I have witnessed a terrible business climate & the class hatred has escalated beyond the Vietnam era incidents...I will be voting for Romney!!

I appreciate your research and honesty for I too am Mormon. I was also wondering some of the other things about Romney. I already know how Obama is, in his own right he means well but that does not decide who I vote for.

I don't care what religion someone follows, or what their grandfather did, or what color their skin is, or whether they ate a dog or tied one to the roof of their car. I care about the record, and what they stand for. What concerns me about Mitt Romney is that the policies that he says he will enact as president are not represented by the record of what he did as governor. He's speaking the national right-wing corporatist party line right now, and he did not follow that as governor of Massachusetts.

If we elect Mitt Romney, will we be electing the Mitt Romney that is being described in the campaign or will we be electing the Mitt Romney who was governor of Massachusetts? I'd really like to know, because I could live with one of those guys, but not the other.

How sad that it took all the above ranting, name-calling, and infantile banality before Willie wrote a cogent, adult statement. Of such is made the substance of civil, informed discussion.

I know of no such claim made by "OPM group". Please cite the source.

Be sure that you are voting not for Romney (the man) or against Obama (the man), but for Romney's policies: shipping jobs abroad when doing so is more profitable, privatization of Medicare and Social Security, more subsidies and tax cuts for the upper 1% at the expense of the American taxpayer, less oversight of speculative Wall Street hedge funds and derivatives, repeal of a person's right to acquire health insurance when he has a "pre-existing" condition, etc. Also keep in mind that these are the very policies pursued under the GWB Administration, except much more severe, since they will be based on the Ryan budget, which Romney has described as "marvellous".

Regarding the polices Romney espouses, I see them as having led to disaster and suffering for tens of millions of Americans. You clearly disagree. Please explain why I am mistaken to believe that such policies are ill advised.

Before cameras, Romney has said that he enjoys firing people; is this his "severe" conservatism?

Finally, please be sure that you know Romney's "truth record": http://www.politifact.com/per... and contrast it to Obama's rating of 89 true or mostly true statements: http://www.politifact.com/per...

I am a very honest person who does not believe in lying but on occasion, very rarely, it has happened. As I have told my granddaughter, we ALL make mistakes. It is the nature of the beast. We are human and mistakes are in our genes.,... The perfect person died 2,000 years ago.

    So, what lie?

I wanted to point out a few by Barry; did you know:

Obama was disbarred for lying on his Illinois bar app-2 counts of perjury. Said he never did drugs (but told of his drug abuse in his bio)

Said he never lived under any other name, but changed his name from "Barry Soetoro", to "Barack Hussein Obama".

Troops that left Iraq, instead of returning home, as promised, were sent by Obama to the Syria/Jordanian border Dec. '11. Broken promise.

Oct.14,'11 troops sent to Uganda, Central African Republic, Congo, So. Sudan.

Jan.8,'12 Marines sent to Iran area.

Mar.'11 Obama promised no ground troops in Libya, yet DID.

6/15/'11 Sent 100,000 troops to Afhanistan.

Besides lying repeatedly, it's amazing to me that Obama & camp had blasted Bush repeatedly for being in Iraq, blaming per usual, everything on everybody else, yet he himself, sent troops all over the place, sometimes without Congress approval.

What's he think he is anyway, a Arab Dictator?

Nobody should be pointing any fingers at anybody else but at him-& Holder!

Do not expect a credible reply, syl. Millions of angry Americans, most white, non-Hispanic and not Jewish, prefer stories about people or events to facts and sound argument. Anger and hate always trump truth, even when the consequences bring harm to the people who persist in bearing false witness.
