I need your thoughts on this.....

My wife is going into business. All the other Army wives are doing things like "Scentsy" and the like....But my bride wants to produce handmade "G.I. Wreaths" because nobody is doing them, and the nitche is wide open. She made a "prototype" (pictured) and brought it to the 3rd Cavalry Museum here on post, to see if they would like to auction it off in a silent auction.
Not only did the lady who runs the museum want it, she wants a supply of them.
I told her I would post up a picture of her prototype here, so she could gauge the reaction of the general public.
She used a form, glue, and two of my old ACU pattern uniforms to make the wreath, and a Regimental Patch and yellow ribbons to decorate it, and added a uniform "US ARMY" nametape at the top.
MY QUESTION:
-What do you think?
Military families here on post are figured to be a lock, but how many folks out there would be interested in such a wreath?
Note- She says that if her Army ones do well she will also buy bolts of material in the Marine, Navy, and Air Force patterns, and would add the proper branch nametape, or make custom nametape
Her first one is above in the headline picture.

Although yeah...you might have to keep your uniforms away from her.
and there's many Veterans/Retirees who have those family members of younger generations serving now as well ..
this is creative, very tasteful .. a good way to show you're a proud Military Family ..
Kudos for such a brilliant and creative lady!
as well as modern ones if its hand made in the united states you will make a mint
Good luck to your wife.
I'm way out of my league with her.
It is more becoming a soldier!
I hope you don't mind me saying this.
Not those wreaths Americans often like!
To much of everything.
To big, to many US-flags, to many decorations, just TO!
LOL: Must be the Dutch influence of her time here.
We both miss the Dutch people and your beautiful country very much.
Personally i have no interest in one but until you try you will never know if you have a hobby or a massive enterprise in the works.
Selling through the various museums is an excellent idea. Those outfits aren't held to the purchasing regulations of base, post, and ship's exchanges. Consider reserving special versions for each of those museums, which might be purchased on site or managed by way of their Web portals.
More general (individual service oriented) ones can be sold directly online, and you can custom-make ones commemorating specific ships or wings or regiments.
There's a helluva lot of 5th Marines and 6th Marines veterans out there, for example, who'd take delight in seeing their units' distinctive Croix de Guerre fourragère (won by the Marine Brigade in France during World War One) woven through one of these decorative wreathes of yours.
Good luck!
