Haven't gone to bed yet. Still got 3 more hours to go in my day. (0620 hours currently).

But I work over night, so I'm not in the "normal" sleep time as everyone else. :P

During the work week I wake up at 4:30 AM, EST and I go to bed around 11:30 PM, EST.

During the weekend I wake up at 6:00 AM, EST and I go to bed around midnight.

Yes Sister, remember I'm former US Army and woke up early most of the time. But now that I live in the Washington D.C. area, I have to leave my house early enough to get to work and beat all of the gridlock and traffic. Whether I drive or take the VRE train to Union Station, it takes me about an hour and a half to get into work. So, everyday I spend about 3 hours commuting. :(

3am I am an insomniac but at the moment my arthritus is waking me, I can not get comfortable so I get up.

I take a strong sleep aid for my insomnia and so far it is working. I was getting up every 2 to 3 hrs. As for the arthritis the only thing I have found that helps me is Excedrin Migrate Headache Medicine. I know it says for headaches but for some reason it works on the pain of the arthritis, don't ask I have explanation for all I know is it works....

I have been taking them for over 5 years now and have had no side effects from them. I take one every night and I do not take them any other time. Some sleeping pills are dangerous I will agree.Night Time Pain Medicine with Acetaminophen-500mg.
My Dr. has approved of them.

I take herbal sleep pills valerian but I do not take pain killers as well , but I sleep fully 1 night out of 3 good job I am not working and can make it up with naps.

Sorry about your Arthritis, my wife has it real bad she hasn't found much of anything that works yet except a Cortisone shot.

Yes I thought thats what would happen too, but I had an xray and the doc says I need to lose weight. As I can't really exercise apart from short walks and bowling he has given me some pills to help me. If they work I hope to lose 3st and hopefully my knee won't hurt if I am lighter!!!! Heres hoping.
