I have been counting a few of the Sodaheaders at the top of the leader board and I note that one has gone from making 40+ polls a day to just at 70 per day. WOW...the leader board and SodaHead News are bring this site down! What do you think?

70 per day? That is INSANE some people really need to get a life.

It doesn't matter to me at all. If that's how they want to spend their time, good for them. I don't worry about the leaderboard and never even look at it. It's a waste of time in my opinion

I ignore the leaderboard -- and I rarely answer SH News questions because of their lack of options. They're almost always just Y/N, and I don't want to be counted in a camp they've defined for me.

Personally, I think all the repetition and inability to accept people are all different is what is killing this site. The leader board is useless

Yes..the divided nature of people on this site is so bad. It is sad to see people so mean to anyone who does not think as they do.

I could care less about the leader board.

the guy at the top and has scored 13000 in a day, has only answered 24 questions, 23 questions asked and 35 raves and he has been a member since last year..must be wigiter

We got a lot of young people right around summer break time. Some of them will stay around and get more introspective with their questions and some of them will get bored and find another website, but for right now, they don't annoy me at all. I certainly don't feel obliged to read all of their posts. But some of them are already beginning to make some meaningful observations and handle some thoughtful queries.

I depise the damn Leaderboard..I am amused by the Roddie Poo from Peru who is a so called Guru! Him being at the top show me how stupid it is!!

Well It is not you and I can't say here or SH will be mad since that would be against the TOS. I have someone on my friends list that is not bad. This person even blocked me once.

I do not know why some feel they have to be on top every day. I see many of us that are up high or even make top 10 or even the very top. Many do it because they make a lot of polls have a lot to say...are home sick or off work or school and have a lot of time. But a few just make trite poll after poll.

I have spent some time looking at all the things that have made SH weaker and this is just one of them.

I am kind of glad that I have dropped down to page 2 and am no longer on the 1 page. I slowed down for a while and yet I stayed at 30 or so all the time unless I made a lot of polls and jump up some.

I also looked at some who keep to number 1 or high buy gaming the system. I do not care about them since they do not make polls. but I get sick of deleting trite polls and at the same time I do not want to unfriend anyone or block them just for making silly polls all the time.

You shouldn't think that way. No one is really pointing out anyone in particular. It is just that you are young, and you like to think about things that young people think about and we old fuddy-duddies like to think about what old people like to think about.

Probably in time, we will find some ground in common. I've had a couple of very deep and intense discussions with young people, and they did just fine.

I know, but it pisses me off when people say kids don't know anything. I'm known on this site for being smart...

Most Kids are brain dead or suffer from hormone overload. But that is not to say that all kids are not smart. Many are smarter than people 4 time their age.

I am 50 and over the last 2 decades I have started to see more things I do not like in the youth of today. Much of what I do not like is not the fault of people your age but the fault of the powers that be who keep making the youth less used to freedom than the generation before them.

But I tell you this...enjoy your youth because you only get it once and it passes by in the blink of an eye.

When they made this big change (last year?) I went to the leader board to check it out. I also took a few minutes to discover how the levels worked. I decided right away that I cared nothing for any of it.

The old system was less likely to promote silliness. Inane questions were much more rare and answers more thoughtful. Blogs and writings used to get attention and discussion. Now most people just want to comment quickly and build their points toward the next level.

I have found the level of discussion has dropped as people have spent time trying to build their activity meter. Being a measure of the time we spend on this site it is a boon to the owners as we spin in our hamster wheels to achieve a top level which is only a way to gauge how many dollars we are worth in advertising.

Yes I am sick of all the repeat and trite polls. I wish they would drop the leader board, Stop doing sodahead new, bring back the page that shows you polls that are like the one you are about to post, and even bring back the down raves.

I think the down rave were good and gave people a way to vent on a poll or comment they do not like or agree with. I think that might be why SH has become so vulgar.
