I went to Sunday School every day for many years and was taught by many nuns and each one was different from the next. Some were quiet, some were outspoken, some were very strict, some were funny, some were cold, some were very affectionate, and one actually played the guitar.
My mother's best friend for many years was a former nun who became a Vice President at Johnson and Johnson after leaving the convent. I remember quite clearly every Christmas Eve Mass she would sit with us. I insisted on sitting beside her because she always wore a mink coat and I loved to put my cheek against her sleeve.

Nuns are people just like the rest of us. We are all unique, I've never expected them to be any different than anyone else, maybe more dedicated to their beliefs. Maybe kinder to others.

You're welcome Sister, I've only known a few nuns in my life, you of course, and I think you're what a nun should be. Compassionate when needed, stern when needed. I grew up with a Catholic friend, and I went to church with her a few times, to confession with her, and even to her school a few times. She had a few Sisters that she really liked and then there was one that she didn't like. So they come in all sizes and personalities just like the rest of us. lol

Nuns are normal people. When I lived in Turkey I spent my schooling at a catholic school. The nuns taught us. I remember this one sister who would get mad at me for playing in the gardens. But she was cranky or something but everyone else loved me. I remember only one of them could speak english and she would always come out to translate to my mom. She was a sweet thin lady with shot gray hair. The sister that I liked the best and she favored me as well was this outgoing lively woman.

Catholic. The closest thing we have to nuns in my Church are Sister Missionaries - and that is only for a year and a half usually. Holy would also be a good answer, meaning chaste, reverent, set apart for their particular callings.

Nuns are well educated, very smart women. You can't put anything over on them. I was taught by nuns many years ago. I admire them.
