    First of all, Way to Go!!!!
    Second of all, to all those who disagree with owning AR-15's. The children at Sandy Hook Elementary School were NOT SHOT with an AR-15 they were shot with two 9mm hand guns. The AR-15 was still in the trunk of the car. The type of gun used in any crime has no bearing whatsoever on the outcome of a killing. All this hyperbole about "assault rifles" is so idiotic and asinine. A single shot from a .22 cal. gun can kill just as easily as a single shot from an AR-15. Also, ask any soldier about his weapon of choice and he will most certainly choose a semi-auto or single shot as opposed to a very inaccurate machine gun.

    Well I'm a smart butt! I usually "make fun of" or see the funny side of things mostly. Not that being shot is funny but, it just sounded so cliche at the time. "wife buys husband a gun who later shoots her with said gun." Rather ironic. :D

    Hope your husband takes classes and all the training he can for the rifle. Classes are more than information, they are fun! Learning and knowing the basics of this rifle, how to care for them and how they shoot.
