I adopted a dog today...and I feel depressed now?

About a month ago I had a dog pass away. Today I adopted a puppy. My other dog doesn't really like her so far. And all of a sudden I feel depressed and I don't know why. I know it sounds silly.

I've been there. A new puppy somehow makes it all so final. I still think about the ones I've lost (2 within 3 weeks of each other), but I love their replacements too. They're not like my other 2, and that's what makes them all so special.

Hang in there. Your new puppy can't be your dog that passed away. Let him be his own dog. Most dogs like each other; give them time. Your new dog need your affection; he'll die without it.

Sorry you lost your dog KittyKat, but I'm sure your new puppy will quickly find its own place in your heart and the depression wont last

You're obviously still sad about your last dog, which is okay.
I wouldn't recommend having a puppy so close after your dog passed away, but you'll be allright. It's normal that you're feeling that way.
