Marriage!!! Am I the only one who thinks this way. I'm alone!!! That was in the back of my mind now sense you brought it up not so much anymore.

Don't need that stuff on my mind at all. It's not holy at my age. Sin Sin Sin. As I've said before that happens in the future when you want to start a family of your own. Amen y'all.

Whenever you get married. Sex complicates things. Kids need to be kids...there's plenty of time for sex as an adult.

when the person is mature enough. everyone matures on a different level. also kids just do it to do it. and they dont think of the consequences. when the person is mature enough to deal with and handle some things that come with sex then they are old enough. i know some people that are in their 20s and still arent mature enough to be having sex!

Age shouldn't matter, but if I were to pick one I'd say 16. Trying to prevent kids from having sex when they're 17 and 18 is silly. Actually, the very notion of trying to prevent people from having sex is silly. Most of the 15 year olds I know are too irresponsible for my liking, but I can't say that about ALL the 15 year olds in the world, now can I? So there's no right answer. Maturity doesn't have an age limit :)

Age is totally irrelevant. What matters is the TOTAL commitment of the partners - ideally within the context of marriage. Abstinence before marriagae should be the aim.

Honestly, I don't know. But, I'm only 15, so I wouldn't do it until... I'm at least 19 I guess. I've got better things to do. Ya know, like being a teenager. :D

Ummm well I don't think you have to be a specific age, I think ppl just have to be mature about it and know that they are ready. Like obviously a 12-14 yr old should not cause they are barely hitting puberty, but I think 17 or older you should already be mature enough. I'm 16 gonna be 17 soon and I am still a virgin, but I choose to be. I personally don't feel ready, I mean I get tempted but that doesn't mean I'm gonna go do it with everyone, and that's another thing, if you're gonna have sex, do it with one guy for a while, not one guy every night.

I don't think age really has much to do with it. Age is just a number after-all. I think it depends more on your maturity, the stability of your emotions and how rationally you can think.

When your mature enough to handle the aspects or implications of that and what it means for a relationship, I'm a girl so I'm not thinking on the lines of casual sex, and when you can reasonably do this safely, disease prevention, especially HIV/AIDS-and Pregnancy.

Physically, I think you just need to have reached puberty, although the age varies from person to person. But who cares about the age. What is important, is whether the prospective parents (possible outcome of sex is pregnancy, even with birth control) are capable of raising the child. I know sex is pleasurable and all, but it is a shame that everybody is in such a hurry to become sexual. If they only realized how messed up a relationship can be if one or both of the participants aren't emotionally ready for it!

When you have an education, can take responsiibility for a baby [protection doesn't always work] and are making money...out of the house and on your own!

Based on maturity that is. I was 15 when I lost my virginity, and the only reason I did was because at the time I knew I loved him, and I had no doubt in my mind that he loved me. I still have no doubt in my mind that he loved me. But you should NEVER give your virginity simply because someone keeps asking for sex. Giving someone your virginity should be about, if nothing else, mutual love and respect for each other. (Including not having sex if it means one is jail bait to the other. Or if you really think you "need to" it's just all the more reason to use protection as I'm about to state.) And not to mention, having the ability to use, and access protection. Places such as Planned Parenthood offer free or cheap birth control and condoms, and will work w/ your income. Age doesn't matter. With the exception of the emergency contraption (Plan B) you must have proof that you are 17 or older.
