I try to get behind and under the smaller appliances at least weekly ..
for the larger ones (like Fridge, Washer/Dryer .. and the like ..) it is more like once every quarter ..

every 2 weeks. When the phone guy came over to replace the jack in the office i had to move a wardrobe and he was like wow it's clean behind it.

I clean behind the refrigerator every once in a while. You can clean behind the stove if you take that bottom drawer out and that isn't very often. I work and waste too much time on SH to clean too often.
