How much is to much with tanning booths?

You know, when I burn my toast, I just toss it in the can. This lady apparently doesn't realize, what over done is.

I don't even have my Bacon that crisped...and her doing it to a child...she is ONE SICK PUPPY and if we don't get that kid away from her...we will have one dead child..extra crispy

Then I'd say .. definitely .. this is WAY, WAY overboard on the Tanning indeed ..
She's definitely got some issues .. that need a bit of therapy ..
(along with prosecution for what happened to the poor child)

Wow, just goes to show you people are addictive creatures and will get hooked on the stupidest of things. Hasn't any of her friends or family told her she looks disgusting? And heaven help her child

When you start to look like these...

I have never used a tanning booth... I lay out in the sun with sunscreen for short periods of time....I have seen too many people's skin look like leather after tanning in booths. I like a natural tan myself.

Someone found her attractive enough to knock up 5 years + 9 months ago. Sheesh, I didn't think anyone was that lonely...

I have never used fake tan and never will, people who do just look orange not actually tanned, so why use it?

I've always preferred a more porcelain complexion myself anyway.

Natural tanning is far safer than the tanning booths. In this case, this woman has a serious problem. She has ruined her skin because she looks like she's ancient. My 70+ stepmother looks way younger than she does. Shame on the tanning salon who allows her to tan as frequently as she does. They deserve to lose their license. I don't believe she actually took her daughter into the tanning bed or booth with her however. I think that was the reaction of a hysterical teacher at her daughter's school. This whole scenario is ridiculous. And I can't take seeing her on TV one more time.

Natural tanning is every bit as dangerous as tanning booths...and it causes just as much aging. It only takes longer.

I don't have any reason to tan period, but I figure some people tan naturally by being outdoors; I'm not referring to lying on a lounge chair and baking in the sun.

Oh...my apologies. I did think you meant "getting a tan" as opposed to tanning because of an outdoor life. But, even then, I think a person needs to plan and take care. Melanoma is NOT fun and skin that is frequently tanned is damaged and will really wrinkle.

What is lovely at 25 may look like a cracked leather handbag at 45 and will look like a roadmap at 65...if they live that long.

I worry about my kids a LOT because in the summer(actually all year around) they have a habit of taking their clothes off (rrrrr leavng them in the grass) and they are super white, although my son 6yo tans pretty well, maybe from the indian heritage, sunscreen has to be applied every couple of hours to what ever is showing....then I worry about the chemicals from so much sunscreen....my girl has to have spf 40-60 or she turns into a lobster:(

She is the worst about taking her cothes off, in the yard, at the store (oh yes in the middle of Target I turn around and have a NAKED kid in the cart! I had to retrace my steps and pick up her clothes....I was mortified) in the car, at CHURCH, she's 3 I look down and BAM a baby butt mooning me! I go to grabe her and she darts in to the isle.....toward the podium around the seats then back to the isle to the back again.....someone was kind enough, through all the laughing, to grab her arm cause she is SO FAST....LOL being a mom can be very embaressing sometimes!
I am thinking of ducktaping the clothes on...

She needs to see a shrink, she must be insane, she looks hideous !!!.

I was a red-headed child growing up in Florida and my young adult years paralleled the George Hamilton tan-between-your-toes craze. I've had 7 malignant melanomas. Two of them got away from me, requiring surgery and the last one also required 9 months of chemo. It almost killed me.

On top of that, it's ugly. I have a part of my arm, visible to anyone, that looks as if someone took an ice cream scoop to it...with a huge scar down the middle. I spent 9 months living on mashed potatoes and green peas, about the only things I could keep down and lost weight so fast that I have a permanent crop of millions of wrinkles.

And, people want to PAY money for this?

Melanomas often arise from the damage done by tanning and don't show up until much later. Caught early, they aren't too much of a problem but they are often not caught early...and some of them are very aggressive even when "young". Once below the superficial skin layers, your chances of dying in a particularly nasty way are huge.

ANYONE who goes to a tanning bed is getting down on their knees, folding their hands and praying to die. And, they are fools.
