Using pre-Obama 2008 dollars, I only pay $1.50 per gallon. You should have bought gold when they told you to.

Cheaper than docked pay for being one hour late per day in a work week.

Cheaper than new shoes every two weeks.

Safer than hitchhiking although less heart healthy than walking.

My wife's & daughter's cars end up around $55-60 each. My son's is about $75. The company pays to fill my truck, but that usually runs close to $100.

I don't know how some people can afford to fill their vehicles. I have a small truck, and a car. The both get around 21 -22 MPG on the highway, and around 15 -17 around town. We were in the process of moving last month, about 60 miles. Going back and forth cost us about $500 that month.

I remember when I was in Air Force I used to commute on weekends from Ft. Meade MD to the suburbs of Philadelphia. A guy used to pay me $5.00 to ride along with me. That covered my trip both ways and my running around gas for the weekend. If I took two guys on a weekend I made a profit.

There is no reason why we as a country cannot bring up the oil that lies within our borders and along our shores. We are selling our country to the Middle East and they are using that money to try and destroy us.

    The world has become crazy.

My husband does it, I just close my eyes and say this is terrible. Then you think it is a good thing your car does not run on perfume, hardly anyone would be able to afford to drive.

I had to sell my truck due to gas prices. I used to pay around $400 a month on gas and had to downsize to a smaller vehicle and definitely miss the space in my truck. Gas prices in California have finally fallen below $4.00 for regular. I am not sure if California is finally using the same blend as the rest of the country.

Ahh SH is experiencing click-O-rama today. $20-$40 is my choice.
Drive a Prius and from empty to a full tank at $3.21 is around $36. and that will last me an entire week of driving as a sales rep.
