I beleive that aI have a few true friends.
But I can see that this is a very subjective question.
I think the bar / criteria for "true friend" qualification changes over time and are ability to see people for who they are.

I think I have about 10 friends ..those are people who I know for a very long time and I consider they are good friends! and I love them :)

But the real question is, "can you count on them to be there for you". You might be the most popular kid in school but I guarentee a lot of people wouldnt take a bullet for you. You probobly have 4 or 5 real or true friends.

And I'm not comfortable with more than that. I admit I have major trust issues, but I find if you consider a lot of people to be a "true friend," you are probably wrong about something and will find out the hard way. Even so, I generally keep my secrets split between the two so that there's no one who knows absolutely everything about me.

Me, I have two true friends.

I have two, my little brother, who is also my best friend, and one other. I have found that most people named friend will betray you in time, whether intended or not. I find it best to keep the circle tight.

I have 3 true friends that I tell EVERYTHING to. No secrets. It works both ways and we can be completely honest and know what we say will stay between the speaker and listen. No one else.

I'd say 3 is about exactly right. Two in particular are definitely true friends. There may be more but they haven't really been put to the test if u noam sayne.

I think it matters what counts as a true friend in one's eyes, like can you trust them through thick and thin.

I am quite lucky in that respect. There are many people who I call friends but do not trust entirely, but I have several friends who are very much true, close friends.
