Thats hard to say because I have a dear friend who finally got it right on the third time. Just a few short years later cancer entered the picture followed by death. Number 4 will be this year.

Keep doing it 'til you get it right!

Personally I think one is enough. On the other way I've seen loads of things during my life and I highly support freedom, free will and treating people as they are grown ups. So if someone feels one is enough than it is enough for them. If someone feels 100 is not a number than who are we to judge?

Three! I can understand a second marriage, but three is over the top!

If you find a good one, once is fine.

If you find yourself abandoned by one you entrusted everything to, why should you be alone for the rest of your life?

I was married to three self-centered twits over about a 20 year period, all of whom decided that once they had what "they" wanted, they didn't need me anymore. Imagine coming home and finding your house empty!

Some years later I found one good lady who treats me like gold. We have now been together for 13 years, longer than all three of those twits from before combined.

The ones which I think should have a limit placed on them are the ones who habitually marry someone, take them for everything they have, divorce them and move on to the next as if they were a can of beer. If I were to read of my exes having a three way mid-air broom collision;

I'd have the road to the cemetery paved with yellow bricks,

I'd hire a bunch of little people to stand on the side saying "follow the yellow brick road",

and I'd hire a band to play "Ding Dong the Wicked Witch is Dead" as they lower them into the ground.

But, since two live 300 miles apart in California and one lives in Germany I doubt that all three will collide at the same time.

Too bad.

Suppodsedly, when a person marrys, it is because they want to be with that person for life.However keeping anything forever, even a person, does not always work. I do not really have a whole lot of faith in the fidelity of marriage.And its not my place to be judgemental of how many times anyone marrys, it may well be, that they had every good inteniton of finding the right mate and remaining in their marriage. And I sitll respect those who want to have just one person in their life and keep looking for the right one..
anyday over a person who is out to sleep with as many as they can. can be true to no one and just uses people for their own gain with no love or caring involved.
I personally just stayed with the mate that I loved, forever until death.Irreplacable!

I don't think you should get married if you don't think your with right person and have been together for along time but if it fails and you have done everything you can it can't be helped I don't think there is a limit if it's true love and no one is hurt
