I have never and will never block anyone for any reason...ever.

Blocking is ALMOST always used to quiet differing opinion. It should be used on bullies and stalkers, but they are very rare. I have only seen ONE actual incident of bullying since I have been here. Blocking is for closed minded cowards.

I am very anti blocking. If you can't deal with challenges to your arguments then why post them in the first place? And if you can't ignore annoying people then you should probably not be participating on a public message board.

People who stalk and harass and breathe down my neck without provocation, get blocked. At first, I stated I wouldn't, but now, I don't care.
If they do the things that meet my block criteria, they get blocked.

I will never block anyone for any reason. Most of the users that have me
blocked are right wingers. But to be fair, I'm sure that would go the other
way if I acted like a right winger.

Instead of blocking those who debase themselves by name-calling or bullying, I just ignore them....or reply with a little humor, e.g., someone once referred to me as a "Republican douche-bag. " I replied something to the effect of, "Why were you so nice. I've been called much worse...and to be honest, I actually may be the latter, but never the former." :-)

9, and all of them are creepers, people who try to add me by flirting, and just being an overall perv. I don't stand for that, and i don't hesitate to block the ones who do it.

I don't do it right away, I wait until they are insufferable.

When they descend into the realm of insults, I tend to keep my cool and keep at the debate. I (usually) try to avoid insulting in return. It annoys the hell out of them, and it's actually kind of funny. But when it gets too much, then I fire off one last missive, and then block them.

OK, it might be more than 5.

I really want to know how many people have me blocked..it's really eating away at me...there should be away for me to see who has me blocked...or, at least how many people have me blocked, please somebody up there...out there...do something about this...pretty please with sugar on top!!!!

Wait...what??? no...Which part? The begging? the, "Pretty please with sugar on top" part? Or the, "it's eating away at me" part? Or, the tone of the whole post? I'm sorry...I'm really not above it all. I really would like to know how many people have me on their block list. I know it's above ten...but, I just don't care enough to search around to find who doesn't want me answering their little questions.

'Why do you even care' is what I meant.

Many people aren't even worth wasting the keystrokes on.

And being on the receiving end of a block is so NOT a big deal, especially if you have good self esteem, and your ego can actually withstand a little 'rejection.'

Hell, I got blocked just today for only posting positive memes, and refusing to argue with some hateful fool; and it was the most fun I've had here in a while.

Well, if I could but only see a number then I could have goals. It would be more heartbreaking for me to find out I only had 13 blockers instead of 57 blockers. And if I had a nice numerical figure I could say things to myself like, "Today I'm going to see if I can reach my 500 th block:" I know it's a bit silly and childish but I pride myself on the number of people I can antagonize to the point where they no longer want to interact with me. Of course, in general, the people that I do this too, are the ones I feel as though I have nothing to learn from, or that there's no reaching them because they feel they already have the answers.
