I have never and will never block anyone for any reason...ever.

Blocking is ALMOST always used to quiet differing opinion. It should be used on bullies and stalkers, but they are very rare. I have only seen ONE actual incident of bullying since I have been here. Blocking is for closed minded cowards.

one of them was harassing other users on one of my polls, so i asked them to please stop being rude to them, and when they didn't listen, i blocked them so they couldn't access the poll anymore

the other one was constantly inboxing me to threaten me with violence, like she was gonna track me down, beat me up or something, and then she'd send me a billion apology messages and then send me a million more messages begging me for sex.

What I do to stalkers is give them advice on what to do BEFORE they come to kill me.

1. Make sure their Last Will and Testament are up to date.

2.Give everything they want their potential heirs to have NOW to avoid probate.

3. Leave the name, address and phone number of their next-of-kin on a piece of paper in one of their pockets so I know who to call to come retrieve their mortal remains.

And the rest don't count because they are a bunch of deactivated socks that I cannot remove. Oh well, good reminder at times of certain people's insanity! The names they used makes it crystal clear how much they loath me. Sad. Sad person/people.

I went a long time without blocking anyone, but I have reached the point where I don't have the patience to put up with verbal abuse anymore and wish to avoid the temptation to abuse back. However, I don't usually keep them blocked since I don't want to censor anyone's opinion from my polls. I just block them till the storm blows by and they've forgotten about their favorite punching bag.

I have quite a few and I'm proud of it. I will not tolerate rudeness, vulgarity or name calling. For some reason people single my comments out and try to pick a fight with me. When that happens I either walk away or I block them. Not gonna waste my time with those kinds.

I don't block people. I understand that most everyone has a different opinion so I don't get upset when they tell me their opinion or if they disagree and become nasty towards me. Whatever.... Their nasty words has no meaning to me.... That being said, I think that blocking is for ignorant people. Have a nice day :)

I blocked someone who blocked me his comment was very rude talking about my mothr is off limits. She had just died also but I guess some conservative Christians didn't get a good upbringing.

I don't block. I think it bothers people more if you just ignore them, eventually they will get the hint and leave you alone to annoy some other unfortunate individual.

i have never blocked for a difference of opinion, but in retaliation for them blocking me and insults, that is not what i'm here for, i would not block them if i could hit them, but they hide behind their keyboards.....

I've only blocked one person. Apparently a lot of people felt the same way about the same individual and said individual appears sto have left Sodahead. No longer on my blocked list.

I don't block. The one and only one listed got blocked for making improper suggestions in a personal mail. SH DA'd that person and that is when I discovered that once a blocked person has been DA'd you cannot remove them from your block list.
