How long should you be dating before u say i love you to the other person?

I agree with most comments on here..the question is, how long does a person need to stay in the relationship before it is time to move on.. in other words, if the other person, after lets say 6 months has not proclaimed their love, is one not flogging a dead horse after a while? Is it time to move on? Is the other person just comfortable with the "friendship"? after 6 months of eye to eye dating shouldnt you be able to acknowledge one way or the other that yes i do love that person or no, its just not happening and move on?

Until you truly do have this felling for them and you do love them don't do it just to do it because you can hurt people like that

once you can sense it...then ready to say I love ya.. practically take a year after because it takes a long time to study this person you're with..what if the person is two faces? womanizers? don't rush up in love less than a year..take all your time ..

I think love at first sight is possible. I just don't think it happens to every young girl and boy. It's very rare.

I think it's weird when 15 year olds say they love each other after 2 dates.

Most of the time it will take months to years.

it's not about how long youve been dating; it's about when your feelings are absolute. for example, i dated a guy for two days before saying "i love you" (we had had a lot going on for a few weeks before we officially dated though) but the next guy, i waited over a month. it all depends. no one can tell you when to say it, but when you do, make sure you mean it.

I think over 6 months, if you say it before than I think it's BS. I hate when people say they love eachother after a week. I don't think you can truly be in love until you know that person 100% you know all there flaws, and all there secrets. You can't figure that out in a week, it takes time to truly love someone. People fling this word around like it's nothing.

I don't think there's a time limit for you to express your feelings. Of course, it's pretty unexpected to say "I Love You" in just two to three weeks of dating, but if you feel it by then, then you say it.
But remember, say it when you're really sure you feel it. Those three words are powerful... they're really meaningful.
