But then again it was made in China...By GE ...who has outsourced most of their bulbs to China....Thanks Immelt....Mr.Whitehouse consultant...

Not even a year ..
But then again ..
given where I live ..
these bulbs are failing at a very high rate ..
(I've never had one last even a year .. they cost TOO MUCH and don't even last as long as the regular old incandescent light bulbs)

Never, I do not like these bulbs, I think they are worse than the incandesant ones for the earth, the light from them is the worst....I will never buy one as long as I can find the other ones, and absolutely do not like or agree with, being forced into having to buy them at some point....

About 2 years, and still working. I haven't changed a long life bulb since I moved into my apartment around that time.

Depends on the manufacturer, off brands last about a year, "quality" brands maybe twice that. I just wonder how long before these too are banned by the environmental lobby. In this case, for their "mercury content."

Shortly after everybody is forced to switch to fluorescents and incandescents are a think of the past. Makes you wonder who's getting payola for light bulb legislation.

It's only a matter of time. Fluorescent lights, of ALL types, will too eventually be banned. And the excuse will be because "they contain mercury." We will then be forced to buy lights that cost EVEN MORE than fluorescents do. I truly believe that this is but one more of a myriad of tactics that the radical environ-MENTAL-ist Left is using to make energy, and devices that consume it, more and more expensive in an effort to bankrupt low income working Americans.

And every subsequent one costs more, but comes with it's own problems, too true a lot of people are stocking up on incandescents from cheap suppliers before they dry up the supply. We had some sort of artistic ones at the shopping center they've already discontinued, so it's coming soon.
