i think it should be no less than 4 years..whether it is knowing eachother as friends before becoming a couple or as a couple i think you should know that person for at least 4 years...

I think to get married to someone you have been with for a while you should have told them basically everything about so there is no secrecy In the marriage and you have to be sure that the person your with Is the one you want to spend the rest of your life with so I think around 6-12 months.

long enough to know each other. I've been with my girlfriend 4 years. It's going to be 3 more until we can get married though. If we had been of age when I met her, I would say like a year (tops). We are perfect together.

My mother went so far as to be with a man for 5 years before they got married. They were pretty good until they did it. It only took 2 years for them to get divorced.
