How long do you let your dirty dishes sit before you wash them?

		I was them immediately after use. The only time there's a dirty dish in my house is when I'm actively using it.
		I'll let them sit in the sink, but they have to be washed before I go to bed.
		I wait until I have enough for a full dishwasher load.
		I fill the sinks and stack them around it until I can't get to the faucet.
		I'm currently eating cereal out of a coffee mug using a spoon that came with my last takeout order.
		I use all disposable dishes... paper plates, plastic silverware, etc.
		All I know is that there's always clean dishes in the cupboard. Maybe they get there by magic.

Specifically, I hand-rinse them, and then stack them in the dishwasher. Then, when I have a full load, I run it.

Don't let anyone tell you that you can afford to put dishes in the dishwasher with all the junk hanging on them. That's the quickest way to make your whole kitchen smell as if something crawled in and died.

Once I took over a new apartment that had a smelly dishwasher from just that reason. I had to run three slugs of chlorine bleach just to kill the smell. A few runs with hand-rinsed dishes later, the visible traces vanished down the drain.

theres 2 of us I put 70% of the dishes and glasses in storage boxs in my attic........if you aint got it it cant get dirty .

Usually don't, my husband does all the housework as I alone am employed and he is disabled(legally blind). Has been this way for 20+ years. Love my sweetheart honey.

There's no point in doing dishes until you have enough for a dishwasher load. And I've found that I only have to get solid food off of the plates, the dish washer will clean the rest.

I never let dirty dishes sit. Maybe because I can't stand a dirty kitchen. I always stack them in the dishwasher right after they have been used then rinsed and every evening I do a load then usually if he has the time my wonderful boyfriend puts the clean ones away for me in the morning.

Actually .. scraps go into the trash immediately after eating, leftovers are bagged/containerized, the plates are rinsed and sponged so that the food is not stuck on it .. and the dishes are stacked in the dishwasher rack. (I wait until I have a full load in the dishwasher to run the cycle (including the sani-cycle)).

Needless to say .. no food-laden encrusted dishes for me in the sink .. and I certainly do NOT have sink-full of dishes at all. I can't stand dirty dishes lying around ..
