How early do you shop on Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving)?

I know a lot of people "Love" shopping then, but I wouldn't go "NEAR" a mall on that day!!

Unfortunately, there were no other choices...I never had the opportunity to go shopping on Black Friday...one year I will be able to!

In my home, BLACK Friday is every payday FRIDAY. Cuz we Black. :) :)

I totally filled a store with stuff that will either get demolished or bought.
My job is crazy, and It is my job to make sure all those insane ass people get what they want, and get out safe.

To hell with going shopping today.

I don't shop on Black Friday, Good Friday, Bad Friday, White Friday or any special Friday. I go when I need something and I don't fall into that garbage.

When my kids were young, say, under 9 or 10 years of age, I was one of those crazy people. It was worth it to get the bargains. Now that they are 13 and 15, the kind of stuff they want either does not go on sale or is limited in quantity. Electronics are a perfect example. The last time I went out shopping before the light of day was 2 years ago. My oldest son went with me. We stood in line at Best Buy for over an hour and nearly froze to death. I swore never again. The only good that came out of it was that my son and I had a nice breakfast at a very uncrowded McDonalds and spent some quality time together. We never got what we went to Best Buy for. Last year I did a lot of shopping online and avoided the crowds altogether. Besides, the RED iPod my youngest asked for was only available directly from Apple and was shipped and engraved for free....something you can't get if you buy it at the store.

I had to stock, so i was there till about 8AM on Thanksgiving, filling shelves, and making the place look good for the people who had to go to work early today... 5am to be exact... I have to go in tonight to pick up the after-math, and re-stock everything... YAY................

I actually got lucky and got the 12pm to 12am shift. I had to pick up and put up all the reshop.
There were like 43 buggies when I got there. Damn people. I wish they would learn to pick up after themselves

Umm. I have a personal shopper who does that kind of stuff for me. That way, he just brings me back clothes and I can try them on in the comfort of my house. I finally got a stylist after I realized that stores have weird lighting and don't accurately show what you look like.

I shop every day. If I didn't, I think I'd be an actual crack head.

I usually don't go shopping the day after Thanksgiving. I did go last year but it was around noon.

When my kids were little, my daughter and I always went shopping on that day. Now, if I shop, it's on QVC!

I go around 10 pm right after dinner is over and sit out in the frezzing cold...lol...lol...I do.

No way would I go out into that mess.

I camp out im usually there 12 hours before the doors open for Black friday so im usually like 5th or 6th in line.

I stay home! If my shopping isn't done by then, I have my computer...

I did it one time, about six years ago. I wanted to go to Walmart and That Thursday night I decided I would get up early and go. I left my house at 6am and when I pulled in to the parking lot at 6:15am, I was shocked that I could not find a parking space. I thought I would be the only one there!

No thank you...nothing is cheap enough to make me go out there and brave the wild animals that line up for shopping.....besides, I usually have to work on Black Friday...

Black Friday shopping... heck with going to the stores, having to push around, search for stuff and go through all that. I shop online and still get the great deals!!!

Refuse to participate in the insanity ! Tried it once several years ago. I will pass on all the "FUN" !

I also have a retail job and people are lined up at 3am when I get to work and we don't open for 3 hours... Man The deals are not all that great! I have seen people push and shove the children for a toy and the elderly out of their way to get what they want! It really makes no sense to me. Although for the Retail workers it is always entertaining ....we lay bets on how many fights break out!! LOL

I work retail. Black friday is a bitch. Its amazing watching two 350lb mothers in sweatpants fighting over the last gameboy. Lol.

The sales may be awesome, but I can't deal with so many people in one place. Half the time you can't even get to anything, too many people in the way!

Last time i did that, I got kicked out of a store for basically moshing people the hell out of my way. *Grabs person in front and gives them a push or a toss*

I was being pretty brutal. I'm still not allowed back in that store... though they closed down a year ago... so I think i'm good now!
