As a person who grew up in the 60s and 70s I can tell you virginity (both male and female) is highly over rated. If you find someone you want to be intimate with, make sure you play it safe.

Just tell the guy on the first date that you will not do anything more than kisses on the check and holding hands before you get married (since anything more is downright foreplay and will possibly compromise your willpower)-and keep saying no to anything more. And I wouldn't advertise that you're a virgin right away since some males like to rape virigns out of a sick sense of wanting to be the first one-be sure you're going out with a male who will respect you-try to be friends first.
