I am a fighter. I have a rigorous regiment. Consist of lots of stretching, Cardio, Weight Lifting, and speed training... as though I am preparing for combat.
I do a lot of leg stretches.
For cardio, I do a lot of line kicking drills, and running.
I do massive amounts of situps, Six Inches, Hello Dollies, Leg Lifts, Six Inches Circles, Flutter Kicks, Standups (when you sit up you then stand up, and repeat), Cockroach Situps. Core work out is important in martial arts.
I also do a alot of shoulder work like pullups, and vertical bench presses. A ton of pushups, pushups to star-jumps, and dive bombers, and I am learning to do push ups in a handstand. Dumbell excises, curls. But again, mostly shoulder strength. I practice with weapons in order to build forearm strength.
I run three miles in 17 minutes and 53 seconds.
I also hit the bag for an extremely long time, focusing on speed and reaction time.
I pretty much destroy my body, and put it through a lot of punishments. I love every bit of it. Even the pain.
I like to run! However, now that I am over 40, what I think is running apparently is not really running! Some of you dreadful 20-somethings are overtaking me at every turn!
