I do this:

I tell them exactly what I think with out being nice about it ( I am usually nice until people tick me off ) if they start calling names I tell them my toddler acts better. I don't usually block people even if they are jerks it is their opinion.

I ignore them. I've been known to push the envelope a little sometimes and be mistaken for a troll as well, so their "humor" doesn't bother me.

I block them.

I hate the ones that single you out and slam you, often making the same statement they just made. Or 80 other people said the same you did and they want to pick on you, (me) in this instance. Just happened 30 min ago. Women esp are horrible to each other, WTF, that's on any topic. And oh dear lord don't even dream of going down the path of politics.

I do this:

I tell them that only bashing me doesn't help prove his or her point and that he it she is speaking with an adult and I expect to be treated as such. If they keep replying I say something like, "Let's agree to disagree. I'm moving on to a new topic." Or if he or she is really getting to me something like, "keep typing to your replies till your fingers bleed. I won't be replying or reading." If the troll is particularly nasty if persistant I report them.
