How do you handle noisy neighbors late at night?

i dont...im the noisy neighbor :P

cause these are my neigbours and if i pissed them off.. that wouldnt be good

Ignore it. I cant even hear out of my left ear anyway.

My neighbors can get loud on special occasions but it's always over by 10pm due to the local noise ordinance. I say; party on! My house is pretty sound-proof anyway.

Make as much noise as I possibly can, screaming, throwing stuff at the walls, blaring the stereo...Maybe they will come to understand how much they get on my nerves lol

I like to "One Up Them". I had a neighbor in Boston that made plenty of noise. As soon as I would drag a chair, he would knock and bitch me out..
At 2 am. one Monday morning, I found a Very Heavy Bass track. I turned off all main speakers and cranked up the bass. Let it run until I went to work at 7am.
He continued to be a dink but I had my fun ;)

If this does not work, then I call the cops!!!

It sucks living where I live, because I'm right behind a football/baseball field/park, and the town fireworks are always held there. It's constantly noisy. I just have to ignore it all.

Earplugs

I like them. No outsiders will ever snoop around a neighborhood that makes noises and moves about; and is always active doing stuff all the time. In San Francisco, you might live on a Hill and down below could house some of the most dangerous criminals in existance, ever! The only thing that is between them and you, and your family, and the clean neighborhood, is a stairs. The dopers and druggies down below might want to climb those stairs and come up to where you live and steal something. However, when they arrive at the top-of-the-stairs, they see a lot of activity and they hear people up there; they just simply sneak back down the stairs and go find another neighborhood; one that is quiet and won't bother them when they are being criminals. There is also something else that you can do inside the boundaries of Sanctuary Cities . . . If you see a stranger who is snooping around in the day to see what he can steal at night, then just watch him. It is called "Humanly-Profiling" or "Patriotly Profiling". Treat him as if he is SOMEBODY. Treat him as though he is a hero home from war, or some such. If he doesn't live there then he will just simply go away and not come back again.

I work nights so I sleep when they are working.

And then again, they may enjoy the opportunity to ask me to turn it down. but I do enjoy all of my neighbors they are really good folks.

I confront then but I don't threaten them. I normally just yell at them to tone it down Bc I'm trying to sleep.

First I try to ignore them the best that I can, if that fails, then try turning on the tv to hide the sound, if it gets real bad, ask them nicely.

My closest neighbor lives approximately a mile from me..

There are basically only two loud noises out here.. My neighbor's dogs barking and gun shots.

If the dogs bark that means there is probably a trespasser.. If the gun shots follow the dogs barking, my neighbor bagged the trespasser.

Then things get quiet again..

Call the Fish and Game as wildlife are the only neighbors we could hear.

I have found that straffing the front yard with an AK-47 gererally quiets things down in a hurry.

yes, shooting people for just being rude is itself rather rude, however the mental picture is gratifying

Oh I wasn't saying I would shoot them heck no, just blow up some potted plants, take out the plastic pink Flamingos in the front yard, rip up a little turf, you kind of a warning shot across the bow, You know a "Pipe down you people or the gaint wooden spoon & fork on the livingroom wall are saw dust!"

I am the noisy neighbor.

My air conditioner/heating/air cleaning systen drowns out most of the noise from outside. The dog does bark more if they are close or people walk by. I just ignore that too.

I throw a ham in their backyard.
