How do you handle bullies on Sodahead and the internet?

I may have asked a similar question before - but I found a good article that addresses this issue: http://www.technolog.msnbc.msn.com/technology/technolog/how-d...
"The Internet began as a pure place, free of malice and bad manners. Today,
rudeness and horror abound." One of the things suggested is to report any abuse. (I do all the time)
Another suggestion: "The moral high road isn't fun...Ignore them....The silent
treatment is the best way to make a bully bored—and when they're bored, they'll
move on in search of a better reaction."
I have been stalked by a few fanatics on SH because of my involvement in Scientology, and I agree with that suggestion -- the best way to handle the bullies is to ignore them.
Of course there is always the option to block them. I've used this option for the hard-core stalkers.
And of course there is always the option to "Fight Back". This article suggests that the counterattack "is risky, and perhaps even ill-advised, but a troll can be shocked into submission by the power of your own
typing...Will it potentially make your situation exponentially worse? Yes. But is there a perverse joy in fighting it out online?...Just be ready for a long engagement that publicly
degrades everyone involved."
What method do you use to handle the bullies on SH and on the internet?

Then I'll wind them up a bit if I can be bothered!
If possible, I laugh at them and belittle them (something like "My 9-yo grandson is better informed than you are. Lmao."). Then ignore them. :)
Sometimes I just say "I stated my opinion, and I don't care whether you like it or not."
If they message you privately, report them and tell SH what the thread was that they took private. In my experience SH will do nothing because they're fairly loose about letting insults and stupid comments stand, but it's worth a try and might establish a pattern if others do the same thing.
That's what I tend to think.
Bottom line is there many interesting people on SH with interesting things to say so why waste time on a jack-ass?
I'm very good at insults, even if I ain't the brightest bulb on the chandelier
"Only the weak are cruel, it takes real strength to be gentle."
