I'm fortunate to have friends on both sides of the political isle, some have the same religious beliefs as I and some don't and some are just so HiFreakinLarious that I could care less what political party they associate themselves with or what their religious beliefs are. I look at folks as human beings first and everything else second. What I like about it is we became friends before anything political or religious.

after I read posts/comments and they are interesting. i don't have to be hateful just cuz someone disagrees with me...we can agree to disagree.
I have found so many interesting people here on SH and 99% of them are great!

I do have to say though..that today i did write something nasty to someone. I called them an 'asshole'...but that was truly my opinion. LOL so i guess i am not always nice UGG

politics and religion does'nt really matter..when Im friends with someone! but sometimes..that person makes politics EVERYTHING thats when its kinda impossible..but overall personality is what really decides that! =)

The same way I do in real life. Merit. I look to see how they handle themselves online socially. I absolutely do NOT chose them based on their religious or political beliefs.

The number one red flag for me when someone solicits my friendship is when I check out their feed, and see they have been doing NOTHING BUT adding people! The only reason for doing that is to boost your poll popularity, and homie don't play that. If I see you have been on a mass friendship drive when you requested my friendship, I will deny you on the spot.

But I hold pretty high standards, and I guess that's why my friends list here is so vacant. As is my real life list.

I choose my Sh friends for many reasons mostly are of the same belief system that I am...Fun loving, loyal, honest and just good hearted...I am a very out going, and tell it like it is person...But I will go to the death to protect and defend my friends...Which all of my SH friends fit that bill...I love you all and am looking forward to meeting many more...

I picked some that I thought were nice people, and their answer or answers struck a chord with me,some for their funny answers, some for the music interests.I met a few heartfelt people on here, that I do not even think about their political or religious views. Then there are those that I am just getting to know and I don't have them on my list but are truly wonderful people.
