How do you act in long checkout lines?

		I stand there, patiently, making conversation with anyone willing. I have no negative thoughts, and never a rude comment.
		I take my cart and smash it over the heels of the slow poke in front of me.
		I breathe really loud, make horrible comments about the person ahead of me to anyone and everyone.
		I hop foot to foot, and loudly repeat "I have to poop, please let me make it" over and over.
		There are no checkout lines at Amazon.com (you sang that dot com, didn't you?_

I use the self checkout whenever possible, but if I do have to wait in a long line, I will usually check email or read whatever book I am reading on my kindle

if there is a self checkout i do that other than that i try to avoid long checkout lines but if i happen to get caught in one, i just patiently wait.

I love the self check out when I am alone.. my 6 year old will not, no matter how many times I tell him, how many times the clerk tells him, etc... STAY OFF THE SCALE.. he doesn't get it.

I stand there patiently on the surface but I always try to get a lane next to a closed one so that if they open that register I'll be the first they shoo in. Works more often than not too.

Tim, if you knew how many people I have killed in my mind while standing in a long line.. you would have a whole new opinion of me LOL If I don't have my kids with me it isn't so bad.. I can act normal. But all it takes is one little finger to touch sometning...my button has been pushed lol

I wouldn't think any less highly of you than I already do my friend. I feel the same exact way when someone argues with the clerk over coupons or breaks out the checkbook after an entire cart full of stuff. In my mind I'm screaming- you could have filled out everything except the amount while you were waiting!! Ugh lol

what irritates me in line isn't the other people... it is my kids. I have 6. They see that stuff in the checkout aisles that they put there on purpose and start begging and pleading... that is what sets me off. I wish all stores had those 'safe for parents' aisles. Not around here anymnore

hahahahahaha... I just recently was trapped in a line and all of a sudden, my water pill kicked in... I thought for sure I was going to pee everywhere. it was awful

Wow thats something I have a friend who had 10 her husband got one of his daughters high school friends knocked up so that made 11 that she took car of .She had a system where the older kids helped out a lot wonderful family except for the idiot husband who couldnt keep his hands off young girls. Men always want young women but I always like them my own age .

thank goodness my husband keeps his hands to himself.. can you imagine the child support i could sock him for? He is older too.. he was 53 when our last was born. My oldest is a girl, she is 16 and like their 'other mother' at times

It depends. In some stores I just wait it out (Bath and Body or Justice) the rest I will find a manager and ask them if they can open more registers so that I am not being held hostage for my money (walmart or kmart or target).

I HATE being held hostage for my money when there are other stores in town I can go to. So, either they find a way to get me out faster, OR they put away the contents of my wagon.

that is irritating.. you look to your left then your right. there are like 50 registers, and 3 are opened with lines backed up to the loading docks

Until more people revolt and leave full wagons sitting there, it will not change.

But I have no problem with walking out and leaving a full wagon. I am NOT going to be a hostage.

In Bath and Body one of us gets in line, one of us shops, that way we aren't stuck in the lines forever.

I have left that cart... and walked out. I am friends with the manager of the manager of the super walmart near me that I use..their family goes to church with mine... I have called him at home to alert him to the check out situation lol

I offer to make friends, offer to help people with their groceries (eating them, not carrying them), seems like the line just melts away...

hahaha... I have stood there and peeled oranges and ate them, drank pops,etc... always pay for them, but If they want to make a day of it... then there is gonna be a buffet lol

Wal Mart is a place thatI really don't like. They're the cause of long lines because they refuse to hire the amount of people need for there stores. So as I tell any of them cash spent anywhere. You can provide the service you don't get my money.

I get bored...might pick up a magazine and thumb through it, tear out some coupons and put it back in the rack. Then not mention the two cases of beer on the bottom of the shopping cart, my time is worth something.

I avoid busy shopping days as best I can. But say if I go to an auto parts store or some place where the checker answers the phone on my time. I'll lay everything I was going to buy out on the counter and walk out, never to return. If the checker on the phone covers the phone mouthpiece and asks if I'm ready to make purchase, I tell 'em to have the guy on the phone pay for it, continuing on my way.

I rarely go into a store with any kind of lines anymore. I do use Amazon for many, many things. When I used to stand in line, I was pretty much the "A" answer. I'm a pretty patient person.
