I'm mexican :) and I know how to speak English perfectly fine, thank you for asking. I'm actually Mexican, Hispanic, Puerto Rican, and Latina. For those of you saying we should go back to Mexico "where we belong" do you know what started the Holocaust, genocide in general? A three letter word. "the" THE Mexicans, THE Jews, THE Homosexuals, THE Americans. Now I suggest you stop stereotyping. Thanks, love the Mexicans

I think it is great when they become citizens the LEGAL way. It is truly a party to enjoy.

When my brother moved to California, he met a Mexican man who turned out to be his best friend. Just like everybody else which makes me often wish we evolved blind.

So we don't judge people by their appearance. Everything from weight to ethnicity is visible, sometimes even religion. If we were blind, maybe we would realize that inside we are all the same.

Which Mexicans? Did you want us to lump families and children here legally with the drug-runners and "coyotes" who smuggle people across the border (or rape and slaughter them out there if they don't pay enough) together to make an assessment?

If they're legal and speak English, I don't have a problem with them. However, when they come over here illegally, that's when I have a problem.

The main problem you have is that there are not enough Arabs here. I hope more come and we speak Arabic.

All the Arabs I've met here have learned English, or at least enough to get around. I actually don't think I've met a single Arab I couldn't communicate with. Come to think of it, Mexicans come up to me and ask if I speak Spanish at least a few times a month. I don't think anyone's ever asked if I speak anything else.

I'm not really worried about Arabs moving to America. We don't have a massive immigration problem due to Arabs. It's the illegal Mexicans that are the problem. Before you know it, we'll all be catching leprosy from a third world country.

I love their people, food, culture and history.. My best friend and blood brother from second grade through high school was a Chicono.. I respect most all are a hard working, family loving, religious people. However I don't like the Mexican corruption in their home country or goverument. Drug cartels, or the illegals coming across our borders, with drugs, gangs, and trafficing in people. Some day they will take back their country from those that are now trying to destory their beautiful and rich land.. Hopefuly, the American people will stand with, and behind them for the freedom they justly deserve.

I hate illegal anythings. there are simple easy to follow rules and regulations governing everything including imigration.
what is so special about mexicans that they can't follow the rules of immigration.
I want to spit in the face of every illegal non english speaking immigrant.

I think they come here illegally because the situation in Mexico is worse than anything we could throw at them. Either they stay in a sh*thole or they circumvent a 10-year waiting list for the sake of civil rights, safety, and a better life for their family, where the only risk is being sent back to said sh*thole. I think for most people, it's no contest: might as well give it a try.

Don't get me wrong, I want to fix the "illegal immigrant" problem, but the problem isn't that the people are too stupid or evil to obey the law - it's that Mexico is broken. If someone found a way to fix Mexico, its people wouldn't need to flee in droves, and plenty of them might acutally go back. I get that the situation is frustrating, and that it's irritating to try to communicate with someone whose English is so poor or accent is so thick that you can hardly make out what they're saying, but there's really no call for this kind of hostility. A little understanding of their situation might do you some good.

My proposal has always been to kick out 2 million second- and third-generation Americans every year--these are the lazy ones. This would make room for 2 million hard-working immigrants. Immigrants are always more motivated and harder working and serious than people who have not had to struggle. Where to put the 2 million we kick out? Let's pay some country like Zimbabwe $20,000 a person (that's $40 billion) to absorb these lazy schmucks. Then maybe after 2 or 3 generations in Zimbabwe, they will be fit to enter the US and become competitive and hard-working! Deal? I like it! Mexicans are welcome to the US, but they should definitely learn English, because by 2016 China's economy will be bigger than the US, and Spanish is definitely not tolerated in Chinese jobs! diligent mexican immigrants

They work hard for their families. They love there children. They love to have fun. They know how to relax and enjoy life. I grew up with them around me, when to school with them. They struggle to get ahead. Most have worthy goals and are good moral people. They just like any other race have a few bad apples.

Adoro a las personas mexicanas, como yo no adoro a inmigrantes de cualquier venida de país a América ilegalmente, especialmente cuando limpian con esponja lejos de trabajar duramente a ciudadanos.
I love the Mexican people, however I do not love immigrants from any country coming to America illegally, especially when they sponge off of hard working citizens.

This is a ridiculous question. 'Mexicans' is not a generic term, the same as any other national or ethnic label.I say its about people's character and their actions, not their ethnicity or nationality...and it's about time we stopped focusing so exclusively on that and started looking at individuals.

Saying you 'like' or 'dislike' Mexicans is like saying you like or dislike potatoes or children...the right answer is 'it depends.'
