How did your parents wake you up when you were younger? Or how do you wake your children up when they insist on sleeping in?

My mother used various methods to wake us up.
First stage: Opening the blinds
Second stage: Ripping of the blankets
Third (and most successful) stage: Pouring a bucket of water on us.
