honestly I would like to say that I am very creative but then someone shows me up and I'm reminded that I'm not as good as I think I am.

Being creative isn't about being better or worse than someone. It's about coming up with new ideas in art, science, medicine, backyard tinkering, etc.

I laughed when I read what you wrote because I would say that is true of me too. Perhaps we all feel like that. Can you really be a good artist if you think you are good?

I'm really fast in my thinking... and creativity is easy for me... I make my living at creativity, in a number of ways... Most often, my mental wheels are spinning so fast people around me are like, "hey, slow down so we can catch up there."

I always, always welcome creative people. At some point, it's not a matter of degree. You stop worrying about being, "shown up," you just are happy to realize you're not truly alone. Creativity is best shared, it's not like you're a wild west gunslinger...
