As more than 43 million Americans gear up Wednesday for the busiest travel day of the year, inclement weather and airport strikes may put a damper on Thanksgiving travels for some.

My daughters prepared the Turkey I got from my employer and we had nice Thanksgiving. 0bama name was not mentioned at all so as not to spoil the festive mood.

I wish that I could travel for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and other holidays, but with my bad
luck, I've either had fianancial difficulties or work obligations and have been precluded from
any form of holiday travel as a result. Holiday travel by plane and / or train is definenately
down on my bucket list.

Americans are getting tired of getting raped by the airlines, shafted by big oil and the hassle of traveling when most of us got the perfect place to go right in our house or close by !!!!! Christmas is a whole other matter !! I WISH I could to Mom,s this year but 2 years ago God called her to the ultimate retirement community !!!!

Just heading around the water to a friend's house, so I'll be driving me and my little ones. Would be a perfect day surrounded by family and friends if hubby didn't have to work. God Bless our military.

As a Vet, I,d love to wish you and your Hubby a VERY happy Thanksgiving. To miss this day with family is tough but it,s men and women like him and us Vets that make and made it possible !! I just hope the cook gets his wish, a happy well feed bunch of troops/sailors/airmen and all the rest !!!!!!!

Thank you! I hope YOU had a very Happy Thanksgiving also! And thank you so much for serving yourself. Even before becoming a military wife I was endlessly thankful for what you men and women do and have always done for this country.

We were okay with him missing this holiday since we FINALLY get a Christmas together! Only the 2nd one in 7 years :) So thankful for that!

It doesn't make sense to me to wait until Thanksgiving day to actually begin the journey, but millions do. May they all be safe on the highways and byways this year. And don't drink and drive eh. OK.
