How are we going to stop the government spending and barrowing money we not have, and have no way to pay back?

...and lobby for term limits. Representatives, two terms. Senators, one term. There is a lot of money in DC 4 years is about enough temptation for any man.

It would be that easy.

It is going to take draconian means to get the ship of state back on course. First, the size of the federal government needs to be drastically cut. Second, careful choices are going to have to made by the states to do the same.

We are currently at a stage where the public sector has higher salaries, better benefits and larger pensions than that of the private sector who must provide the revenue. This imbalance is killing the private sector. Case in point, in my state the teachers recently went out on strike for more money and benefits. Our unemployment rate is high and yet they demand more and more from the taxpayers. It is obvious that they do not care about the financial health of their districts all they want is more.

According to the above link, Gov has spent itself into an impossible predicament. They are spending more than they can steal in taxes.
So programs must be cut or eliminated, but can't. That movie was called "Catch 22".

So good question, needs some REAL answers. We're paying 545 people who should have been taking care of this over many years, but it looks as tho' we'll just vote in more-of-the-same.
